Description
Two white elephants, each carrying a small glow on its back.
The set has two separate holders in mirrored poses, so they sit facing each other on a table or stand apart on a shelf. Each elephant has its trunk raised and curled, broad ears, and a layered floral mandala moulded into its side. On the back is one open cup that takes a standard tealight.
They are cast from a mix of ceramic and resin, not pure ceramic and not plain plastic, and finished in clean white. Because the detail is moulded in, the two pieces match each other.
THE SIZE, HONESTLY
Each elephant is about 5.5 inches long, 3 inches wide and 3.3 inches tall, and weighs about 120 g. The pair together is about 240 g. This is a compact tabletop set, not a large showpiece. Please look at the scale photo beside the mug before you order.
ABOUT THE LIGHT
We recommend flameless LED tealights. They run cool and give a steady glow through the evening. We do not recommend a burning candle, wax tealight or diya in the cup. Tealights are not included.
WHERE IT WORKS
A Diwali centre table, a rangoli corner, an entrance console, a dining table, a bedroom shelf or the shelf beside the pooja ghar. In Indian tradition an elephant with its trunk raised is believed to welcome good fortune, which is why a pair like this is often kept near the entrance. That is a cultural association, not a promised result.
It makes an easy gift for housewarming and griha pravesh, weddings, anniversaries and Diwali.
Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from water and do not soak. Set the pieces on a level surface and handle the raised trunks gently.
In the box: 2 elephant tealight holders. Tealights not included. Colour: White. Material: Ceramic and resin mix. Country of origin: India.
