Two horses, both reared up and mid-stride. One gold, one black.
Each body is cast in resin and finished by hand. The gold horse carries a turquoise and deep red saddle; the black one carries green and maroon. Both are raised and heavily patterned, with small coloured studs set into the flowers. Those studs are jewel-style accents, not real stones. The manes and tails are sculpted separately and each bridle is picked out by hand, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
Each horse stands about 15 inches tall and 10 inches long, on its own rectangular black base of about 7 x 3 inches. Two pieces at that size make a proper centrepiece. Stand them facing each other on an entrance console, or set one at either end of a reception counter, a living room shelf, an office cabinet or a cafe display.
In Indian tradition a horse stands for speed, courage, ambition and forward movement. Many people keep a pair in a living room, a study or a work cabin for that reason. It is a cultural association only, and no result is promised.
A pair carries well as a gift, and the two colours suit modern, classic and traditional Indian rooms alike. It suits housewarming and griha pravesh, weddings, anniversaries, Diwali, birthdays, business openings and corporate gifting.
Care: keep both on a level, dry surface. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not soak them, and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners.
