Description
Two gold camels, each on its own base
The taller camel is about 10 inches high and 6 inches long. The shorter one is about 9 inches high and 5.5 inches long. Both are about 3 inches wide at the base. Because each has its own base, you can keep them together as a pair or place them apart along a console, a shelf or an office table.
Bright gold, silver and copper-tone saddles, hanging chains
They are cast in high-density resin and finished in a bright metallic gold with a finely textured surface. It is a bright, festive gold, not an antique or matt finish. Over the hump sits a saddle panel in silver and copper tone, with a palm tree motif and small mirror-look diamond accents. A fine gold-tone chain runs from the nose to the saddle on each camel. The chains, the mirror-look pieces and the colour are decorative parts only. They are not real gold, mirrors or gemstones. Because the finish is applied piece by piece, small differences between the two camels are normal.
Weight and placement
Together the pair weighs about 940 g, which is enough for each camel to stand firmly on a level surface. They suit a centre table, a console, a TV unit, a reception counter, an office cabin or a bookshelf.
A desert animal in Indian tradition
In Rajasthan the camel is the animal of the desert and of long journeys, and in Indian tradition it is often kept as a sign of endurance and steady progress. It is a cultural association, not a promised result.
