A matched pair of peach and cream elephants, made to stand facing each other.
Both elephants are cast from resin blended with marble powder, then hand-painted and hand-polished. The blanket carries a fine textured pattern in terracotta and gold. The headpiece, eyes, tusks and anklets are painted by hand, so no two pairs are exactly alike. A clear lacquer coat over the top helps hold the colour and the soft shine.
Each elephant is 10 inches long, 4 inches wide and 8 inches high, and weighs 1.75 kg. Together the pair weighs 3.5 kg. That weight comes from a solid cast body, and it is what gives each piece a steady, planted feel on a shelf or a table.
Both pieces are the same size and the same finish, mirrored so they face one another. Set them on an entrance table, a living room console, a TV unit, a hotel lobby counter or an office reception desk.
