Use this against any supplier you’re evaluating — not only us.
1. Minimum order quantity — ask separately for branded and plain
Most suppliers quote a single MOQ, which hides an important distinction: branding needs a higher minimum than plain product, because setup (die charges, printing plates, box tooling) has to be spread across enough pieces to make sense. 2. Branding options — and what they actually cost
Handcrafted materials don’t all take branding the same way. Engraving suits brass and some resin surfaces; it doesn’t work on marble the way it does on metal. A printed or embossed plate can be fixed to a wooden base. A branded outer box with an inserted card is the most universal option, and usually the cheapest at low-to-mid volumes. Ask which technique applies to your piece, what it adds to the per-piece cost, and what it adds to lead time — branding is a separate production step, not something layered on for free.
3. Sampling before you commit
A photo on a website is not the product in your hand. Before placing a 200-piece order, ask for a physical sample of the exact SKU and finish so your team can check weight, colour consistency and packaging quality. A supplier reluctant to send a paid sample ahead of a large order is a signal worth noting.
4. GST invoicing and HSN documentation
Every corporate order should come with a proper GST invoice — this matters for your finance team’s input tax credit workflow. Handcrafted decor spans several HSN classifications depending on material (marble, brass, iron, resin), so ask the supplier to confirm the applicable code on the invoice itself rather than a generic sales page. 5. Lead times — and what they’re measured from
“7-10 days” means nothing without a start point. Does the clock start at order confirmation, payment, or design approval? Get this in writing, and work backwards from your event date, not forwards from today.
6. Damage and replacement policy
Marble, brass and resin pieces are fragile in transit, and any honest supplier will tell you damage happens occasionally even with careful packing. What matters is the policy: what counts as proof of damage, how fast a replacement ships, and whether it’s replacement or refund. Ask for this in writing before you order — exact terms are stated on your quote, and if a supplier won’t put it on paper, that’s your answer.
7. Manufacturer or reseller — ask directly
This is the single most under-asked question in corporate gifting. Many “corporate gifting companies” are aggregators who take your order, forward it to a workshop, and add a margin with no manufacturing capability of their own. The Numbers: Budgets, Quantities, Timelines and Packing

Budget bands. Under Rs.1,000 per piece suits large all-team gifting where headcount matters more than per-piece impact. Rs.1,000-2,000 is the working range for most client and mid-management gifting — it’s where marble elephants, mid-size idols and urli-style pieces sit. Rs.2,000+ is for leadership, key accounts and milestone gifting where the recipient list is short and the piece needs to carry weight in the literal sense.
