Corporate Gifts for Clients: What to Send, and What to Avoid (2026)

A 10 burns in the center of a marble lotus plate, creating a unique diya candle holder that sits on a light wood surface—ideal for elegant home decor.

Diwali corporate gifting fills the calendar every October, but a good share of the B2B decor orders we ship at Kraftskala have nothing to do with a festival deadline — a founder confirming a big deal, an account manager marking a renewal, a company sending something after a project wraps. Corporate gifts for clients are a different problem from gifts for your own team: you usually know less about the recipient, each gift carries more relationship weight, and getting it wrong — or overdoing it — can read worse than sending nothing at all.

We manufacture handcrafted brass, marble and iron decor in our own workshop in Jodhpur, and a meaningful share of our B2B orders are exactly this: client gifting, not employee gifting. That gives us a fairly blunt view of what actually lands — pieces that are handsome without shouting your logo, sized so they survive a courier without extra cushioning, and priced so a finance team doesn’t flinch when it sees the PO. It also gives us a clear view of what backfires, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than sell you the wrong thing.

This guide covers client-side corporate gifting specifically — not the employee list (see our Diwali gifts for employees guide for that) and not the leadership-only tier (see luxury corporate gifts for leadership and VIP clients for board-level spends). What to send, what to leave alone, real budgets by relationship stage, and how ordering actually works.

What to Look for in a Client Gift (A Manufacturer’s View)

Employee gifts can lean playful or branded because the relationship is internal and ongoing. Client gifts have to work harder with less information. Four things we tell buyers to check before they commit an order:

  • Presentation-ready, out of the box. If your team has to assemble a hamper, print a card and re-box it before it goes out, that’s hours you didn’t budget. A piece that arrives gift-ready — box, finish, everything — is the difference between sending 20 gifts and sending 200.
  • Survives a courier, not just a desk. Marble and resin are heavier than they look and travel well when packed correctly; thin ceramic and glass don’t. Ask your supplier what their transit breakage rate actually is, not just whether they “pack carefully.”
  • Neutral enough for a mixed client list. A gift going to fifty different companies across regions and faiths needs to read as universally auspicious, not specific to one deity or community, unless you know the individual recipient well.
  • Priced to avoid awkwardness. Many companies cap what employees can accept from vendors — often somewhere around ₹1,000–₹5,000 depending on internal policy. A gift that’s clearly more expensive than that can put the recipient in the position of having to decline or disclose it. When in doubt, ask the client’s office what their policy allows before you commit to a premium piece.

10 Corporate Gifts That Work for Clients

Real stock, real prices, from our own catalogue — grouped loosely from an easy first-touch gift to a key-account centrepiece.

Iron Desk Pen Stand Showpiece — Rs.899

Functional, not overtly branded, and it sits on the desk for years — a safe first gift for a new prospect or a small-headcount client office.

Iron Desk Pen Stand Showpiece

Set of 2 Brass Duck Figurines — Rs.799

No religious motif, doubles as a paperweight, and reads as considered rather than promotional — good for a broad list where you don’t know each recipient’s background.

Set of 2 Brass Duck Figurines

White Marble Lotus Urli with Diya — Rs.1,599

An urli reads as decor first, ritual object second — it works on a reception desk or a home dining table equally well, which is exactly the flexibility a client gift needs.

White Marble Lotus Urli with Diya

White Marble Elephant Statue Pair — Rs.1,499

Elephants are about as close to a universal safe choice as Indian corporate gifting gets — trunk-up pairs read as prosperity and goodwill without pointing to one specific deity or community.

White Marble Elephant Statue Pair

Wooden Taarkasi Elephant Showpiece, Brass Inlay — Rs.1,499

The taarkasi brass-wire inlay technique is a genuine, lesser-seen craft — a good pick when you want the gift itself to be a talking point at the client’s next meeting.

Wooden Taarkasi Elephant Showpiece

Lion Brass Figurine Set of 2 — Rs.1,999

A change from the usual elephant pick for a repeat client — solid brass, weighty in hand, and reads as strength/leadership rather than festival decor.

Lion Brass Figurine Set of 2

Three Marble Elephants Gift Box Set — Rs.1,899

Ships in its own finished presentation box, so there’s no separate packing step on your end — order this when you want one SKU that just gets couriered as-is to fifty different addresses.

Three Marble Elephants Gift Box Set

Blue & Gold Elephant Pair, 8 Inch — Rs.3,999

A statement size for a renewal, a large deal close, or a client you’ve worked with for years — big enough to be noticed on an office entrance table, not so large it’s unwieldy to ship.

Blue and Gold Elephant Pair, 8 Inch

Marble Elephant & Diya Gift Set — Rs.2,399

Arrives as a matched pair-plus-diya set, so it reads as a considered gift rather than a single showpiece — a reliable pick for a key account manager tier.

Marble Elephant and Diya Gift Set

Premium Marble Gift Box Set — Rs.4,999

The top of our client-gifting range: a full presentation set with elephants, kalash, shreephal and diya in a 12×15 inch box. Reserve this for the handful of relationships where the spend is justified — a marquee client, a long-term partner, a deal that changed the year.

What NOT to Send a Client — and Why

This is the part most gifting guides skip, and it’s the part that actually protects the relationship. A few honest calls from what we see go wrong:

  • Sharp objects. Letter openers, knives, scissors sets — even as a “premium desk accessory” range. In Indian gifting custom these read as inauspicious (cutting a relationship), and enough recipients feel it that it isn’t worth the risk on a mixed client list.
  • Clocks or watches as the gift itself. Gifting a standalone clock is traditionally considered to invite “time running out” on the relationship. If a client is a genuine watch enthusiast you know personally, that’s a judgement call — for a general client list, skip it.
  • Leather goods, sight unseen. Wallets, belts and leather folios are common vendor gifts, but you can’t know at scale whether a recipient’s background makes leather an uncomfortable gift to receive. Handcrafted decor sidesteps this entirely.
  • Alcohol. Aside from state-level restrictions and dry-day logistics, plenty of recipients — and plenty of employers’ internal gifting policies — simply can’t accept it. It also puts the recipient in the position of having to store, re-gift or decline it in front of colleagues.
  • Anything head-to-toe branded. A mug, a t-shirt and a pen with your logo on all three reads as marketing collateral, not a gift, and it gets left in the box. One tasteful, small branding touch (see our guide to what can and can’t be branded) beats logo saturation every time.
  • A spend that outruns your relationship stage. A ₹5,000 gift to a prospect you’ve had one call with reads as pressure, not appreciation — and can trip the recipient’s own company gifting-value policy. Match the spend to how long you’ve actually worked together.

Budget Bands, Quantities and Timelines for Client Gifting

Real numbers, based on what we actually see ordered for client lists rather than employee lists:

  • New prospect / light-touch relationship: Rs.500–Rs.999 per gift. A pen stand, a duck pair or a small elephant piece. Low enough that no compliance policy blinks, warm enough to be remembered.
  • Established client, ongoing account: Rs.1,200–Rs.2,400 per gift. Urlis, marble elephant pairs, gift-box sets — this is where most of our client-gifting orders actually land.
  • Key account, renewal, or leadership-to-leadership gift: Rs.3,500–Rs.5,000 per gift. The premium marble sets and larger elephant pairs. Reserve this tier for the client list where it’s genuinely earned — see our separate guide to VIP and leadership gifting if this is your primary tier.

On process: a free itemised quote comes back within 24 hours of your enquiry, and the rate we quote is held for 30 days so it survives internal approvals. MOQ is 25 pieces per design if you want branding added, or as few as 5 plain (unbranded) pieces per design if you don’t. Dispatch runs 10–14 working days from design approval, and every order — client gifting included — ships with a GST invoice, as stated on your quote. For the fuller ordering sequence on larger lists, see our supplier checklist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should client gifts carry our company logo?

Lightly, if at all. A small engraved mark on the base or a branded gift card works; covering the piece itself in your logo turns a gift into marketing material. See our branding guide for what different materials can actually take.

Is it different from gifting our own employees?

Yes — you generally know your employees’ preferences and can gift more personally. Clients need safer, more universal choices because you’re gifting to a relationship, not an individual you see daily. Our employee gifting guide covers that side separately.

What’s a safe minimum order for a small client list?

Plain (unbranded) orders start at 5 pieces per design. If you want your logo added, the MOQ rises to 25 pieces per design — worth knowing before you finalise a small, high-touch list.

Can gifts be sent directly to each client’s office?

Yes. We dispatch pan-India with safe fragile packing built for marble, brass and resin, and can split a single order across multiple client addresses under one invoice — tell us the address list on your quote request.

What if our budget varies a lot by client tier?

Normal, and easy to handle — mix SKUs across the three budget bands above in one order. Tell us how many go in each tier and we’ll quote it as one consolidated PO.

Do you offer samples before a full client-gifting order?

Yes — request a sample of your shortlisted pieces before committing to volume, particularly useful the first time you order for a client list rather than for your own office.
